Mel Gibson is insane...but he's a good guy.

Well...he's going for the Fidel Castro look...so one can only imagine that perhaps he's gotten his Spanish-speaking countries mixed up...but no matter...
He's just given $1million dollars to the victims of the Mexican Hurricane Stan. For a guy who seriously believes that his wife is going burn in hell...that's not bad.

How can you say he is a good guy? He is an anti-semite. you must be a right-wing christian nut.

I have checked the link where he is believed to think that "Outside the church, no salvation."
If that is what he thinks (which I pray he does not) then he is a fallen angel for me.
Poor me, I liked him so much...

  3. I don't know where his wife is going to...

But with actions like these, he is going to heaven for sure.

    Thanks Mel

  4. Ok, tell me Vincente Fox doesn't like some warden letting out career criminal/hobo Mel after 20 years in a clink.

Vincente: "Good luck, my friend Hobo Mel. Here's 10 dollars and a bad suit. Just don't come back to my prison/country, kay?"

Honestly you have to remember that Mel's father is an Anti-Semetic holocaust denier who doesn't think there have been any "true" popes since Vatican II. I don't think Mel is an Anti-Semite though, he wouldn't get work in Hollywood if he was.

And he must have his good points, he's pals with Jodie Foster and Danny Glover (who you KNOW don't agree with him on pretty much anything) and I just read an article on Robert Downey Jr. in which Jr. said Mel saved his career when no one would hire him, even calling up Joel Silver (who's Jewish) to get Robert the part in Gothika.

I do think he's a bit crazy though and now thanks to Passion probably the richest actor in the biz.

hmm..anon...actually I'm a liberal atheist if you had to give me a title...but a good deed is a good deed in my books...I do serioulsy think Mel Gibson has gone totally insane though...after his alcoholism stint...poor guy, I doubt he was like that when he was younger.

As for him being anti-semitic...I don't know...I have a feeling that he is a little bit anti-everything that doesn't fit into his little belief system.

Anon: Being a devout Catholic does not automatically make you an Anti-Semite. I honestly don't believe he is because seeing and reading various interviews with him he seems like a very genuine down to earth gent.
But even if he was opposed to every race or religion that doen't agree with his as long as he doesn't try to spread his views or encourage them in others it's his own business and he can be as ignorant as he wants.

Also being so quick to dismiss someone as a "right-wing christian nut" invalidates any point you were trying to make about prejudice.

And for the record he has jumped up seriously high in my opinion for that magnificent beard just like Tom Hanks did when he grew his. A good thick healthy beard is like a work of art. More Beards Hollywood! More!!

Ok having re-read what I typed above, in particular the "Why would I of all people have one of those most manly of facial adornments?" bit. Do I sound more like:
    A) A Rampant Homosexual with a beard fetish.

    or

    B) A villain from the Batman TV series of the 60's.

    Anti-Semitic???? His Savior is Jewish!!!

For it is by grace you've been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God Eph. 2:8

Melly is trippin...it doesn't say by grace and by being Catholic! Although a lot of people translate faith as faith that God exists and call it Christian...it's having faith that he'll do everything he says....and putting your trust in that.
HALLELUJAH...whew...I've got that one off my shoulders!! :)

    I think he's a good guy too!

Just me: you're just right. What Mel expresses is exactly in the Jewish version of the Bible. How can people think he is anti-semitic?
