To Bond or not to Bond?

haha...o.k..so I've gone lame again on the titles...but is this guy; Daniel Craig, really going to be the next James Bond? Most reports certainly think so... Confused evil German villain...maybe...but James Bond? Even Jude Law would be much better, although Sienna evidently didn't think so...since this is the "spy" who shagged her. Oh dear, this post is getting cornier by the line.

For the record, I think Eric Bana would make a great J-Bo.

I vote for Simon LeBon. LeBon For Bond! I know that dates me, but I think he would be perfect and the poor guy needs a comeback.

  3. Who the hell ..?

I think Pierce Brosnan was by far the best Bond (since Sean Connery). He should be making another one. Instead, now he's just unempolyed and trying to look for indie films to barely feed his super-expensive-cocktail-appetite.

If i had to choose someone new, Hugh Jackman's not a bad candidate. broad shoulders and buff arms. beat the druglords old-skool style. lol, and if Lude Law was chosen, Bond would be having an affair with M(Judy Dench's character). *shudder*

  4. What about my loin lust, Clive Owen? Ever since I saw him in all of those BMW shorts, I was D-O-N-E! Mmmm, mmmm, KFC has nothin' on that little English popsicle.

No no no. The man for the role, with the looks, charm, charisma and a touch of sleaze is Julian McMahon.

  6. For me the perfect James Bond (especially if they were going for a blonde) would be Sean Bean. Who cares if he played a villian in a previous Bond film? He's perfect for the part and the Bond execs have ignored their own movies in the past. They never bring up Bond's dead wife in the Lazenby Bond film do they?

This Craig guy? Not Bond. Heck, he's not even Roger Moore.

  7. I am utterly horrified that you would even suggest an Ozzie for what HAS to be a role for a British actor. Goddamit we always play baddies in movies - let us keep James Bond. He's a British institution for gawds sake.

Clive Owen would have been my top choice. I think Daniel Craig will do a great job.

PS: Those people who suggested Jude Law and Sean Bean - I'm not going to even dignify those ridiculous ideas with a reply.

  8. Hmm...I don't know about Sean Bean...I used to think Jude Law would be perfect...but the whole affair-thing has made me hate him. I used to think Hugh Jackman...but I like a bigger torso in a man :)
Doesn't Sean Connery have a son or something?

He looks more like a villian to me, like you said. & I prefer Clive Owen to be the next James Bond, he's just as masculine as Pierce Brosnan.

I want me some Eric Bana, too!!!!
    - but I'd rather leave him out of this Bond project. I don't think it's his type.
But having seen NONE of the Bond films, I'm retarted in this field of discussion.
I only know that I want some Eric.
    (hah-hah)

  13. haha Franci...your as retarded as I am...I've never seen a Bond film in its entirety...and for the record...I really dislike Pierce Brosnan and his faux-sophisticated-ness...English try-hard...he's Irish and has totally denied his heritage...
