It's not that nothing predates jesus. It's just that nothing IMPORTANT predates Jesus. All of the people and things around before Him were dirty, nasty heathens that deserved to be burned and/ or stoned anyway.

Well man wasn't created until the sixth day... so time wasn't counted, before man and days to God weren't said to be thousands, but maybe millions of millions. Think about it.
