This is just sad. I have actually been a fan of Owen's for some years.
I got in to him years ago when I saw The Minus Man back when he was doing Indie flicks and I thought he was just the most fragile yet beautiful man ever. I loved him in that role. Then I found out he had a sense of humor and I was hooked.
With that in mind I have followed him closely and am sad to say I have seen him decline in to the Hollywood trap over the years. It's disappointing.
He seemed to have so much promise both as a comedy and 'straight' actor but his playboy persona became more apparent for one reason or another and it's caused him more grief than he needed I think.
I had no idea things were that bad for him but I have wondered if he was going to break for a while now.
I hope he gets better and finds something worthwhile to turn his attention to I really do. He's kinda underestimated I think if you go back to the Owen of 8 or so years ago.
Time will tell but I hope he gets help.

I hear he is a serious alcoholic with depression for many years. It needed to be treated long ago.. but, unfortunately, like Lindsay.. he had it all under control and thought no one would call him out on it.
