The obligatory Oscars post
O.k. so the winners are below:
But firstly...the dresses. So...I must have missed the memo but pseudo-bridal virginial white strapless dresses were on everyone bar a few. Who knew recycled wedding dresses would become so envogue.
There were no surprises with Nicole Kidman
Taraji P Henson [thanks VDOPrincess!]:
anne hathaway..who looked a dream.
penelope cruz
SJP
melissa [how on earth did she make it into Hollywood!?!?!] george
Rachel Evan Wood...someone obviously got over the Manson phase of her life.
The mess that was Jessica Biel...uhh..since when does sexy-times with J Timberlake get you an Oscars invite?
...even Maniston got into the pseudo-virginial action
and it goes ON!
Carrie Underwood, Sheryl Crow, and Jada Pinkett Smith.
There was also Kate who went for the asymmetrical, rather dull option...who also displayed rather concerning fraulein hair.
The beautiful people
The people who tried to wear what they'd worn the year before...hoping noone would notice.
In case you forgot...this is what Heidi Klum wore the year before...see if you can spot the difference. I couldn't.
The surprisingly o.k in Miley 'n Marisa.
The imminently forgettable in Natalie Portman.
The cute in KBos
The fierce in VicBec
The "no breathing allowed" in Beyonce
The surgery successes: Madonna. GF looks younger than I do. Maybe her Jesus is really making miracles.
And the surgery ferreldom. Beatdown dragqueen anyone? I offer it to you pure and unfiltered -- Lisa Rinna
The avant-garde coolness of Tilda Swinton
And the mandatory disasters. No Cher...but still pretty bile inducing.
Sofia Loren offers us a sinus-afflicted merengue.
While Naomi Watts decontructed illfitting droppy mess offers me similar mucous-encrusted delights...as did DVTeese

The epitome of delusion
What kind of a damn 30th birthday party is this? Umm...no guests...and a photoshoot at Tiffany's. J Jove Hewitt is desecrating Audrey's outfit! Who does she think she is? Since when does Audrey have sausage arms while toting around a Starbucks cup? J Love Hewitt is 30 going on LOSER. Pah!
How it's done.
How it's done.
