Hey guys,
There is seriously no news today. The only thing on is the MTV Awards and that's the biggest snore ever. So instead, I'm going to leave you with Arena Magazine's interesting Nelly Furtado photoshoot. Arena's camera is seems, doesn't make you look 5 pounds heavier...it makes you look 20 pounds lighter...in a strange-unnatural way. This is this month's shoot and below is Nelly a couple of days ago at the beach.

The thing that really strikes me is just how horribly unflattering that swimsuit is, especially the top....YIKES!
I agree, Kate... I'll never understand why people buy bikinis that twist their boobs into... god, what can possibly describe that shape...
The little lip on plastic coffee cup tops that you grab onto and tear yourself a sipping hole with?
She is not quite attractive in any of the photos, at least, not to me.
OMG - she has MY legs! How awesome is that!
Camera Angle? Black Pants? Photoshop? In that order.
not only it takes off pounds where needed but adds substantial breasts (second pic). The swimsuit top makes me cringe. Looks painful.
There is a whole Photoshop world out there: http://elblogdeeugenio.blogspot.com/2006/06/sobre-fotomontajes-y-otras-cosas.html
that's a good one eltete!

El Tete, I have also checked that site. The guys around the singer were not photoshopped and they all seem to ponder about whether and to what extent will their leader-singer be photoshopped in the magazine. That lady does not look horrible in reality. A bit more flashy than it is fashionable now, but at least a womanly woman. Strange and sick idea to make everyone look almost the same. As if we all were vinyl products coming off the line? No, thanks.
Those legs are something else - truly thick. Big ankles, huge calves, monster thighs. They look just like Hilary Clinton's legs. Nelly might have the worst legs in the business. Even worse than Britneys short stumpy muscular legs.
THOSE THUNDER THIGHS. No wonder they did above waist shots, tho they could have photoshopped those down too. My husband is an artist - designs magazines - and he told me a few years ago "don't believe ANYTHING you see in a photograph." Truer word.....and all that.
Elisa, thank you for all your hard work. How can we support you financially for amusing us?
thanks for your support st remy :)

ELISA, you didn't answer me. Is there any way we can remunerate you for this free entertainment? It doesn't seem fair to me that you do all this work, we get the benefit, and you receive nothing for it!!!! Any ideas, folks?
St.-Remy
haha no, I couldn't charge for this :) I could put a paypal donation thing on my site...but I don't think it would feel right.
Much love,
elisa
