Tom Cruise has apparently stopped a rerun of the South Park episode that makes fun of Scientology and his general gay-ess. This comes just after Chef Isaac Hayes quit the show. Cruise made an ultimatum through Paramount to drop the episode or he would be a no-show on all interviews and promotions for Mission Impossible 3.
I hadn't seen the episode before...there's a pretty funny scene about Tom Cruise not wanting to come out of Stan's closet...R Kelly is pretty hilarious as well. Check the episode out here:

That episode was great! I've been asking my husband for weeks whether Isaac Hayes had quit over this. No surprise there. Too bad, because it rivaled the Mormon (dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb) episode for fun level.
Is Tommy the Dwarf's threat to not promote his next cinematic yawnfest a bad thing? Not in my book. Anything that would keep that stupid smirking mug off the air would be a blessing.
As for those passionate smooches at the Angels game, I'm reminded of what Dizzy Dean said when he spied an amorous couple at the stadium. "Looks like he's kissing her on the strikes, and she's kissing him on the balls." Too bad Tommyboy isn't equipped to make that observation a reality.
This does show what the execs at the entertainment companies really worship however...money.
Has any star fallen so far, so fast as Tom Cruise. Remember back when he got during the Rain Man days people thought of him as an up and coming respected actor. Now he's a joke. South Park insults EVERYONE, Tom-tom and Issac should consider it a compliment that Scientology and the Tom's In-the-Closet-ness were the focus of an entire episode.
Yep, ever since that jump on the Oprah couch and interview with Matt Lauer "you don't know the history of psychiatry" people no longer regard him as a hunkie movie star. Now we see him as the nut job bozo he really is, just like most of the rest of those Hollywood types. yuk. Poor hypnotized Katie, she's SO going to regret this phase of her life one day.
Me thinks the scientologist doth protest too much.
my mom's friend went to high school with tom cruise and she said he was a total loser. no surprise there, but being a total loser on a national level is just sad.
