Nicole Kidman is a freak. Who's the blonde that you only showed from behind?

I like Phil Seymour Hoffman but I think the Joaqster deserved it. NOT because all you girls want his long hard..... wallet but because his performance was flawless. I'm glad Reeceypoo won hers at least. But she's way hotter with the brunette look.

Nicole Kidman looks just awful. So bad if you saw her on the street, you'd stare - and not because of who she is, but how bad she looks. Barf.

How could she??? She'd still be pretty if she'd left her face alone and let a little age show. Truly a sign of the stupidity of actors/actresses.

Is that Michelle Williams in the yellow? That has got to be the most hideous thing ever! And those red lips?!?! What was she thinking?

As for Nicole Kidman, I really like her a lot, but I think it is unfortunate that so many celebs have surgeries. I think Hollywood it so cut-throat that actors are practically forced to do these things to themselves in order to continue working and stay competitive with the young new crop of actors that spring up everyday. It is definitely not a profession for those who wish to age gracefully.

Poor Naomi Watts.
Her ex and his babymama were Oscar nominated for the gay cowboy movie and all she had to bring to the table was the table cloth.
Nice monkey movie though.
Sad.

I really wanted them to cut to Heath and Michelle while Naomi was presenting. The awkwardness would have been priceless.

He he....in that pre-show with Ryan Seacrest my favourite part was when Naomi oh-so-subtly plugged the Lexus hybrid just as Ryan was segueing to another presenter. So much for acting - just another blatant wannabe getting something for nothing because she's blond and in a blockbuster. Shame. Oh, and I LOVED LOVED LOVED when they had that dreadful, self-righteous, back-slapping montage about how Hollywood has been the first to deal with polemic issues like gay rights, racism, the environment, etc, etc (neverminding the fact that they are responsible in large part for the marginalization of women and something like 99% of the world's eating disorders)and then Jon Stewart deadpanned, "And none of those issues have been problems since." Priceless! How can they take themselves so seriously? ACK! Okay, I've finished my rant.

Didn't really care for any of the best picture nominees. The clothing was freaky as usual. Some of the plastic surgery was scary.

Assessment: Oscars status normal.

Oh don't get me started on Crash's victory, I'm extra pissed. Check this: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11700333/
Anyway, well, I loved Stewart but it was boring, no wonder the ratings went down (and they lost another viewer with that Crash travesty).

Im very happy with who won, except that Joaquin should have won for sure. Reese looked so cute, Michelle was a disaster. And yes, even Keira looked ok. But I think the question that has the be asked was why the hell was Paris Whore-Hilton at the Academy Awards? Shes been in like, two movies. And they were B-rated. Did she get confussed and go to the Oscars instead of the Razzies? Puh-lease.

K so i was watching the new Tarantino movie 'The Hostel' and the bit where the guy is getting his toe chopped off and he pukes allover his face. Yep that is the same colour as Michelle Williams dress. I mean WTF the bitch actually looks attractive atm her skin glows so she go fugs herself up the wazoo with that dress with that colour and that frill. And lets not discuss the weapon I mean necklace she wore. AAARRGGGHHHH!
ps The Hostel wasnt as good as Saw but there was a few gems in it where me n my boy were like AAHHH MY GOD!!! YECH.

I just wonder here in silence that why on earth should it have been the BB Mountain, Elisa?
Having seen none of these films, I can not really contribute to any debate in this matter, but please, why? Was it really much better, or was it just the theme?

CRASH, counting the Oscar, has won 2 Best Pictures awards and BBM has over 20 (counting Golden globes, SAG etc...). You need to go back to SCHINDLER’S LIST to find a movie so universally acknowledge as the best of the year.
So it either shows Academy voters have shitty taste, or they are homophobic...

You should see BB Mountain Franci...I don't know...I rarely like films...but BB Mountain just got me...it's beautifully done, it's not too soppy...the acting is fantastic. I really think it's a seriously fab love story. I loved it from beginning to end.
Crash...is Eurys article is anything to go by...sounds BAAAD!!!
But Eury's I'd have to say that hte academy just sux...I mean Gwyneth won an Oscar and bloody Poutly was nominated...screwed up.
love,
elisa

Yeah Elisa, I think that to obtain MY opinion I have to see both films I am very much afraid...
Generally speaking I do not care much about the decision of any board or academy... more than often I do not agree with these people. I think they have their motives to decide and more than often these motives have nothing to do with my motives...
The very last example I recall was the first-ever-Hungarian Nobel prize for a writer...bah...politics...
