Anne Hathaway as Jane Austen
O.k...so I'm not terribly sure as to what Jane Austen looked like...but I'm pretty damn sure she didn't look like Anne Horseaway...she's currently filming "Becoming Jane"...some kind of biographical film. Perhaps though, I should just shutup and be happy about the fact that somehow Paltrow didn't manage to get in on the act.

I have nothing against Anne Hathaway, but someone who's known basically as the star of "Princess Diaries" for Disney (and who's American, to boot) and probably (and in my opinion definitely) the best ENGLISH novelist ever?

yea jack! what on earth are these people thinking? it's desecration! if i didn't know that JA would be shaking with laughter over this, i'd be furious!!!!
yeah, I agree jack...she's american! but still...there are many other starlets who could have been chosen...who would have been much.much.worse.

Anne Hathaway is perfect for this! She has the look and the bearing. What?> You want Keira Knightley? She's too sexy and sultry...
Besides, her role in Brokeback Mountain, however small, proved she can act beyond the "cutesy American becomes a Princess" formula.
