I'm offically sick of Jonathan Rhys Meyers
This guys is everywhere lately...and to be honest with you, he's creeping me out to no end. He's going to be around even more since he appears in everything from MI3 to this new Woody Allen film Match Point with Scar-J. His fat upper lip and those 'I'm an overt serial killer' eyes are doing him no favours in my books. Does anyone see him as anything other than a poor, pshychotic man's Joaquin Phoenix? Someone needs to explain his appeal to me.

I adore this man and I don't know why. I love Velvet Goldmine where he plays a Bowie-esque character. I loved him in Gormenghast on the BBC. He was great as George in Vanity Fair and as Cassander in Alexander (which was a really really really awful movie). Sometimes he's weird looking, but mostly I find him captivating--much like Joaquim Phoenix. When they act, you forget who they are in real life. I don't think I'll dig this new movie, though, because I'm not ready to jump on the Scarlette Johansson bandwagon. She hasn't proved to be anything more than a starlett with a big mouth and bigger chest.
he has absolutely no appeal of any kind to me. Nothing. HE is pure boredom to look at.
I am sorry to all of his fans, if any.
I like him. He's been pretty good in everything I've seen him in and always different. I've never seen him play the same type of character twice which is pretty impressive. Plus he's Irish and considering you almost never hear him speak with his accent that goes to show he's good at accents too.
You just dont like anyone horning in on your precious Joaquin's territory.
The only thing Joaquin beats him on is having been in "Space Camp" and thats trumped by the fact that Jonny was in a "Knorr Soup" ad back here.

I would do such debauched things with him, given the chance. He played a total jerk in Vanity Fair and it was HOT. Personally Elisa, his eyes and lips do it for me.

I watch Bend it Like Beckham and just fast forward to the bits where he speaks with that lovely soft voice and sexy accent.

Does anyone else mix up Scarlett and Charlize regularly? They're both lovely, but damn if I don't have an easier time differentiating between the Olsen twins...

He is 28 and dating an 18 year old and they both called the cops on each other last january, he looks like a serial killer, and he seems like a very concieted a**hole ......... i must be sick because even after that i still think he is a major hottie. He reminds me of the cute bad guy from the latest batman movie, btw does anyone know what that guys name is?
The guy in the Batman movie is Cillian Murphy. Both are Irish, and both have an adrodynous look to them,have gorgeous eyes and mouths and - well, good bones - but the similarities stop there. Cillian is married so he plays for one team. Jonathan (who changed his last name - his real last name is on imdb.com) plays on the other team - if you get my drift. Doesn't anyone else's gaydar go up when they look at him? But the gay community has claimed him as one of their's. I have no first hand knowledge and don't particularly care. He's cute and a good actor to boot. Oh, Cillian is in a movie that came out today in the states - "Breakfast on Pluto." Soon, Elisa, you may be sick of BOTH of them! :D Merry Christmas to all!!
Yeah, totally gay. Somewhat attractive but only in a girly way, with an element of creepy thrown in for fun. Have to admit I found him somewhat appealing in Bend it Like Beckham and Vanity Fair though...ah well.

JRM has a girlfriend, and Hugh Jackman is MARRIED with children...married to his manager, who is a much older, portly woman, otherwise known as a BEARD. I understand he was seen often with his real boyfriend before the recent awards ceremony in which he did high kicks to shame a Rockette. What you see is not always what you see. Unfortunately, the world is not ready for their idols to be gay. Coming out is near death to one's career, so people often get a faux lover to protect them from gossip. I want to live in a world where its OK to be bisexual. The no one would CARE who you slept with (except if its small childrem. a la Michael Jackson). I still love both JRM and Hugh Jackman, and Anderson Cooper and Lance Bass and all those gays who are hiding in the closet to save their careers. Here's to hoping you all would still support anyone, whatever their sexual orientation!!!
I adore him - hes just beautiful - and irrisistable in Beckham.... he may be full of himself, but hes so intense you just can't ignore him, plus hes irish (It really pisses me off when magizeens etc call him british cuz hes from cork!), BTW all Irish men don't have "serial killer eyes"....just some of them (colin farrell doesn't)....
I completely adore him too, even moreso because he's got no qualms about letting people draw their own conclusions about his sexuality. He's not afraid to push masculine sterotypes, and he is an outstanding performer in, as everyone said, his ability to drop his accent like nothing, and his knack for playing characters you love as easily as characters you hate.
If he's an arsehole in real life, then it's not our problem. It's actually a bit of a relief when someone that hot is conceited, because it tempers their appeal. Someone painfully gorgeous AND super nice is almost too much to handle :) It's nice to ogle whilst knowing you'd never REALLY want to get close to the adonis in question. Not that I wouldn't do debauched things too.
JRM does look a bit like Joaquin - but he's much more polished and lacks that irresistible dark sexual attraction that Joaquin has. Their eyes just don't compare - Joaquin wins by a mile.
He made me sick to my stomach in Match Point, but I love him in MI3 and Bend it Like Beckham . I'm sorry, but I find his eyes are gorgeous . I honestly don't find that I care about his looks 'tho, because tho his eyes are gorgeous, he isn't . But he got me in BLB (: You either like him or you don't like him . He's that kind of guy . But I hear he's a total arse in real life . It's what's expected tho, from celebs and all .
I am a huge fan of JRM and I think match point is by far his best movie. Yes, he can look odd at times but i think its more of the way he talks, and moves and acts and pretty much everything else about him that gives him sex appeal.
i have no idea what it is about him but its all good. those beautiful eyes with that smoldering stare and those lips are to die for. and the smile he has, just makes the hair on the back of the neck tingle. and that accent just makes it icing on the cake. a couple of my friends would agree. theres just something about him that makes him desirable/irresistable.
