O.k...I tried to watch the show but it was just unbearable. Ellen tried her best...but what can you do when the essential structure of the show is Zzzz. I'm going to be nice in any case...I'm not going to talk about Eva's peach coloured mess or Jennifer Garner's hair situation.
Marcia Cross wisely keeps her red hair and works it.
Teri looks normal (from a distance)
Portia takes the place of Anne Heche.
Halle shows some leg and in the process makes a lot of women envious.
Mischa looks cute...and doesn't fat creepy guy with the red-bow tie know it...she's yours for sure FCG!!!

Marcia Cross looks amazing. Red heads should try to always remember that they look stunning in forest green.

I love your Emmy commentary! It was hilarious. By the way, how does Halle Berry continuously look so bloody HOT! It's really starting to piss me off. The girl with the dental floss dress and the plastic body is just too much! They need to take her back to the lab and start over...way over.

Elisa, are you not annoyed by the fact the she has a Russian male's name? I dislike it since I know her, but recently some other people have noticed and claimed it on some other forum. I know in the US it is kind of a habit to name kids whatever, regardless of the kid's actual gender, but for me it is still a stupid nonsense...

Marcia Cross is the only "wife" I find really attractive (and back in the Lois and Clark days I though Teri Hatcher was beautiful - now? Not so much). With Marcia Cross, I think its the red hair - its the perfect shade of color for her, especially with the pale skin.
The only woman that looked amazing there is Marcia, all the others look quite normal or terrible.
The Emmys show was so NOT funny! As for Ellen, I expected much more from her. Her jokes flopped so hard I was embarassed for her. And I knew those hollywood types would interject their lame ass political views so at the first sign of it (Blythe Danner) we switched off the t.v.
I'd give an eye and a tooth (and a bag of money) for Marcia's green dress. We likey!

I think her parents probably heard the name Mischa (never having been to Russia) and thought "wow...that name is really cool...and sounds so sophisticated and European"...and had no idea that it wasn't for a girl :) English-speaking countries are pretty culturally-closed IMO...

Mischa's family is English. She was born in London. The name is Russian, but supposedly the feminine form of Michael.
Allright, I think I've been given a task here. I have a friend from Ukraine. I will ask him about the orientation of this name. I still think it's for males.
Nikita, another Russian name is also for males.
I hate to say it...but Russians appear to have girl sounding names....Nikita??? that's too much!!!

Hi all, yes, Nikita and Mischa are male names - fact proven by a born-ukrainen male himself.
It appears to me that the ending 'a' has nothing to do with the gendeer of the name...
