Reese Witherspoon struggles with the word "penis"
O.k...so apparently she's absolutely no fun, has a penchant for calling the kettle black, and struggles with explaining human anatomy to her son...but I have a deep soft spot for the ol' Reese...one created by Freeway and cemented by the polar opposite: Legally Blonde. Here she is at the premiere of her movie Just Like Heaven some ghost romantic comedy...

This is one rare celeb that I do like. And it's even more now that I read how she's sick of people like Fuglica Simpson sending the message to impressionable kids that to act dumb is OK.
I really like Reese, and in her defense on Legally Blonde 1, I read that she was struggling with post partum depression after recently giving birth to her daughter. I think she is a rare Hollywood celeb who sticks to her values and doesn't forget where she's from. Of course, I also noticed that she has a handsome stay-at-home husband who takes care of the kids while she brings home the millions. (Even if it is because he can't get a job.)

anon 536...oh..that makes more sense I guess...that director (an aussie) is pretty unprofessional if he really said that...I that's the only decent movie he's ever made...and Reese's preformance in Legally Blonde I saved the film...hmmm.
Yeah...I saw that mag as well...but I have to say, there is probably no dodgier gossip mage in the world than Aussie Woman's Day..they're always trying to link up people (Princess Mary, or the late Princess Diana) to the bloody fictional! Da Vinci Code...wtf?

I hate when people say that what she said about Jessica Simpleton was the pot calling the kettle black.
It's obviously not the same thing...she was playing a role because she is an actress.
Simpleton's whole career is based on behaving, well, like a simpleton. If it's an act, it's hard to tell. (I don't think it's an act)
hmmm...I disagree Ginger...I really like Reese and I really dislike Jessica...but still...they're all in the same industry. If Reese was a writer who didn't dress up/care about her appearance, didn't dye her hair blonde, was overweight, was never on the cover of magazines, wasn't gorgeous...or at least ONE of those things, then maybe I would take her comments seriously...but she feeds off the Hollywood machine as much as the next starlet...even if she is A-list. The fact that she has 1million times more talent and (probably) integrity than Jessica Simpson STILL doesn't change the fact that they make money from the same place, and for all intents and purposes, have done similar things. The argument that Legally Blonde was just acting can be used to vindicate Jessica as well...IMO
