Angelina is now a Cambodian Citizen
Angelina is now an official Cambodian citizen. The 'cost' of the citizenship appears to be a mere $5m that Angelina has donated towards a wildlife sactuary in the north-west of the nation. I love the fact that while Jen is pathetically sobbing and sniffling away, Angelina is actually putting her money where her mouth is, and to people who have real problems. How on earth did Brad come out unscathed from this whole thing anyway? Oh that's right...he's a guy.

Angelina rocks my socks!!!
I still think she's doing all this to "look good" to the world. Just a couple years ago she was still acting weirded out and creepy. How can someone change so fast, authentically? I think she's got a sainthood, martyr thing going.
I could TOTALLY be wrong, so those who love her pls don't kill me! It's just what my gut tells me. I knows she's unbelievably beautiful and compelling. But she still is human inside, and that's what I see.
And I acknowledge that the money she's giving is awesome, absolutely. I just question her self-serving motives.
She was pretty odd when married to Billy-Bob, but it seemed like after she adopted Maddox, her focus changed and she became more wrapped up in her child. She didn't stay with BB much longer after she adopted Maddox, either.
Plus, she spent time in Cambodia while filming Tomb Raider, and probably saw first hand how impoverished people are there, and it probably tugged her heartstrings. She adopted Maddox from there and had to stay there for a while to settle his adoption due to the illegal adoption market problems they had there.
She seemed to change a LOT after that. Going to an impoverished area and actually STAYING there can really change people.
I don't think its an act - have you seen the UN missions she helps out/reports/goes on?
If thats an act then she is spending waaaay too much time on it.
and yeah the 'rainbow children' family idea is a bit freaky - but i think she means well...lol
Call me naive, but I think the girl is genuine...no-one gives that much money and time to a cause that they don't really believe in.

I believe that personal experiences and having a child can change someone's personality.
I think Angelina is either doing this 'sainthood' thing authentically or, if it's a fake she is unaware of its being fake.
Either way, faking being good is tiresome!
(Paraphrasing) "While Jen is pathetically sniffling away, Angie is helping the world". While that is true, I think ridiculing Jen is pretty mean-spirited. She, not Angelina, is the one who was half of the Hollywood golden couple that is now getting a very publicized divorce amid allegations of infidelity. I know women who can't pull it together after something like that, even without the entire world watching every move. Cut her some slack.

I was waiting for someone to say that to me :) haha...I know it is mean of me...but everyone is on Jen's side...she doesn't need an extra person feeling sorry for her :) To be perfectly honest with you, I think she can do better than Brad anyway. I still find it strange that Brad gets off scot free in all this.

I think Angelina is being genuine, as Andromeda stated she is spending too much time and money on "looking good". I know from first hand experience, a child can change your whole outlook on life. My son made me a better person. Something about my life not being so much about ME. I would only hope that if I had all those millions, I wouldn't think about myself all of the time.
Angie wants to change the world?? Sainthood, martyrdom?? ...she needs to work on herself first. There is no denying (although you have to give everyone the benefit of the doubt) that she and Brad had a "thing". I used to think that Angelina was pretty but people's actions make them so ugly. Even if they weren't having a "thing" even more reason to be respectful of Jen's feelings and wait a while before you start nabbing her hubby to be a surrogate dad. By the way, what's up with the hair Brad. Dang, A's got him wrapped around her finger!!

Jen A. cries for the bazillionth time about the Friends 'family' splitting up.
Even if Jen is the one being totally honest and Angelina is the one involved in an elaborate image campaign - who cares?
At the end of the day one is using her celebrity to draw attention to those in need, and the other is drawing attention to her celebrity by being needy.
yeah...you're right anon1121, she's using her image to create awareness...any (alleged) underlying intentions don't really matter that much,

I agree, while Jen spends her time expressing her feelings of the split (which, EVERYONE has the right to do when they get their hearts broke)...she goes from magazine to magazine and interviews as if she's the only woman who's ever been scorned....
...Angelina spends her time in causes for needy people, raising children from underpriveleged countries and giving them a life they'd never have in a 3rd world orpanage...
She didn't *have* to adopt children from poor countries, she could have easily gotten herself a healthy child from the US (where orphans are treated WAY better than they are in 3rd world), instead, she chose children from poor countries. Granted, she can't save all the children there, and she knows it, but she has two she's saved, and that's more than a lot of people can say for themselves.
just a tidbit...Jennifer did not go from magazine to magazine doing interview...mainly people around her....which actually drove me crazy! I wanted her to ball him out.
Angelina...yeah, she helps out the needy but that doesn't excuse someone's behavior. That's like someone feeding the needy all week but spending their weekend causing criminal acts. Ya think?
I don't know...if anyone's to blame really IMO, it's Brad Pitt...he had a choice and he made it.
