Nicole Richie has written a book! "The Truth About Diamonds" I've heard some big rumous involving Pultizer and Booker...you heard it here first :) Maybe it's because uni work has been tough and hasn't really allowed me to sleep much, maybe I'm just a sucker for ex-heroin addicts, or maybe I've been trans-continentally brainwashed by Rachel Zoe. But at the end of the day, you know what? Although I think the girl is a mass of bones...she seems to have this je ne sais quoi that none of the other assembly-line girls seem to have ATM. It pains me to say it, but the girl's gorgeous...let's just hope she quietly drops those singing aspirations.

Ee Gods she is bony! Dammit I'm sick of all these bones with blonde hair growing out the top! I still want to know who decided we all crave to gaze upon BONES. Is some weird death cult taking over the media???
Janae, I guess the bottom line is NOT to be content with what Nature/God/genes has given to you.
Cause those who are satisfied with themselves make very bad consumers.
(For example: for those who like their original hair color of what use is the newest trend in hair dyeing?)
Such people are not into buying whatever the media wants them to buy.
The media attempts to take away our natural confidence. It is up to us to resist.
I do believe ya done hit the nail upon its ugly head.
yeah..you're right Franci...butI don't think my generation has much of a chance fighting against it...we were practically bombarded with advertisements (telling us flawed we are)since the day we were born. :(

I don't give up fighting against something I know is bad for me - how can I? Why should I?
First potential step: discard your television and radio.
Do we not have a thing called 'free will'? Do we not have choices?
haha...I don't watch television at all really...for me...it would be a case of discarding my internet...something I doubt I'd ever really be able to do :)

Yeah, I have developed a kind of addiction to internet, too. Especially to blogs, bwah-hah-hah :))
But nevertheless, anytime I have other things to to, things that remove me from my home, like when I go hiking, I am so enormously happy without my PC.
hey! I randomly found your blog and have become somewhat addicted to your insightful and scathing commentary on the superheroes of society. It's become one of those guilty pleasures.
You know, I have to agree with you that Nicole is beautiful - she looks elegant in an anorexic, Audrey Hepburn-ish way. However, do you really think Angelina is all that altruistic? Don't you think that maybe her children and charity works are boosts to a sagging career? Where was she when she adopted Maddox? Was Zahara to save her abysmal career choice of Mr & Mrs Smith?
Just wondering...
hey carletoncita...hmm...I don't know. I don't think Angie is a saint or anything...but normally, when you do charity for a flagging career...you just do small token pieces (e.g. Sarah Michelle Gellar once built houses in MExico for a week for Teen People) and attend or host glitzy charity parties like Gwyneth Paltrow. Angie seems to really get in there and give it a go (she's gone on quite a few aid missions) and doesn't actively seek the press coverage for it. She also puts a lot of money where her mouth is (she donates in the millions) and geniunely seems to care. That's one side.
I've also heard rumours that Tom Cruise's ex publicist Pat Kingsley is advising Brangelina and is telling Angie to tone down her sexuality nad play up her loving/caring side....
I hope for the kiddies that she's geniune :) Maybe I'm not the best person to ask though...because I think she's hypnotised me :) haha.

I think the best thing Nicole has lost - Paris Hilton. Nothing else.
